It used to be easier for me to attend Presidential Inaugurations, which I did in 1977, 1989 and 1993 when I lived in the metro DC area. But, buoyed with excitement and high hopes regarding Barack Obama and the incoming administration (and spurred with the allure of VIP seating provided by our Congressman), Janet and I are heading to DC tomorrow. We plan to deal with the crowds and near freezing temperature to witness a truly historic event.
