All The News That's Fit to Print

Once again I found another a story tied to Portland, OR. Reading today's Sunday New York Times, I came across an article noting that several prominent family-owned newspaper empires have recently been sold or may soon be sold (perhaps to people more interested in profitability than quality of reporting). The article noted that there has been some speculation about the Times itself, which has been family-owned now for five generations.

The Times seems likely to remain in the hands of the Sulzberger family. Which may keep the Times committed to publishing "all the news that's fit to print".

The Portland connection ... Arthur Sulzberger, a son of the current Times publisher, is a reporter for the Oregonian.
