Safely Back From the Big (Steaming Hot) Apple

Janet and I got out of Dodge, or rather NYC yesterday, BEFORE all heck broke loose a few blocks from where we were visiting. Apparently, an old underground pipe burst sending steam, concrete and other unpleasant items high into the air.

We greatly enjoyed the play we saw, Deuce, starring the great actress Angela Lansbury. An interesting play, which focused on 2 long-retired tennis partners, who had been the best womens doubles team of their day.

The play raised some interesting points about feminism and friendship. One theme that impressed me; holding friends dear - enjoying their company (NOT "Company" - that's another play) and letting them know how much they mean to you.

Sounds like a great play and I am glad you weren't affected by the icky steam-Yikes!
